Brand and graphic designer

About

I am a graphic and brand designer focused on branding and visual identity, with a particular interest in editorial, motion and web design.

I get beyond excited about crafting new visual languages from scratch — finding the idea, the feeling and the visual logic that can hold everything together. I’m particularly interested in building visual systems that are complex enough to evolve, but distinctive enough to be recognised.

My background in Fine Arts influences the way I approach design. I’m drawn to culture, research and visual experimentation, but I don’t think of design as pictures existing in a vacuum. The more I work, the more I think about the world around us — people, culture, behaviours and references, and how they shape the way we see things.

Being a people person makes me a better designer. I’m interested in personalities, emotions and the little things that make people feel seen or understood. I think about not only how something looks, but how it will be perceived, what it can make people feel, and how people can connect with it.

I’ve tried a bit of everything so far, from agency and freelance work to projects for brands including Netflix, Dyson, Bacardi, Uber, Heineken and Just Eat Takeaway, as well as cultural and independent projects. These experiences have made me especially drawn to projects where there’s something to figure out — where a strong idea needs to become a visual language, and that language needs to work across different scales, formats and moments.
